What triggered my memory about this post was the fact for Raft Trip 2007, each body building team was broken down into road signs… Mine was Men At Work… others had mudslide, slippery when wet, Speed limit 120, and such others…

About the never saw it coming… I totally agree…As humans we have the tendancy to rush through life as if it were a race wanting to go as fast as possible, taking no time to enjoy the time were given. Sometimes I have the urge to just stop what I was doing and go sit on the ground in a woods and think and pray… unfortunately that does not get to happen as much as it should…for one… I don’t have a nearby woods and second off I fill that time with something else.
Every morning during the week of raft trip, I would get up an hour earlier than most other people and sit on the hill and have devotions… mano y mano with God..(I just realized in spanish that means hand and hand with God…interesting never really thought aobut that) It was unbelievable and such a cool experience! I wish I would dedicate time like that to God’s Word here in Fort Wayne…

An interesting verse I was given during raft trip as follows:
‘Be still before the lord and wiat patiently for him’ Pslam 37:7

Have you ever read something from Psalms and seen the ‘Selah’ after it? I learned (during raft trip. If you haven’t noticed I gain a LOT by going, I highly reccomend it, it will definetly be worth it.) that this means Stop and Listen when translated into English from Hebrew. (for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selah) So this is telling you to STOP completely and focus and soak up what this is saying.

To add to your cheer up… An AWESOME verse I’ve found and have wrestled with:

‘Wake up, Wake up, Jerusalem! Become strong. Be beautiful again, holy city of Jerusalem. The people who do not worship GOD and who are not pure will not enter you again. Jerusalem, you were once a prisoner, now shake off the dust and stand up. now free yourself from the chains around your neck.’ Isaiah 52:1-2

When reading this I relplace Jerusalem with myself. This is one of the few times it can work and makes sense. When we are cast down and depressed we are given the chance to shake off the chains, stand up, and become strong.

Glad I could trigger such thoughts Orli. I don’t care if people post something as long as Orli has here, I just want to hear people’s opinions on things. As small as One line or as big or bigger than the topic I posted. I try to leave my topics open for thoughts. :D
